HYBRIDISER’S PHOTO AND DESCRIPTION Petit 2011  The flowers of Cardinal’s Cloak are both very large and very dramatic. They are the result of combining my red eye and edge lines with my very wide, heavy gold edge lines. The result is a flower of amazing impact. The self color is a light cherry rose. The flowers have a large dark cherry red eye and matching picotee. The picotee is very wide and is painted on top of deep piecrust ruffling that reaches almost to the midrib. The outside of the petals is surrounded by a heavy gold edge. At the center of the flower is a dark green throat.
