HYBRIDISER’S DESCRIPTION: The simple description of STARDUST MEMORIES would be that it is a lavender pink with a gold watermark, green throat and a huge ruffled gold edge. But that does not begin to describe why I chose to introduce this plant when I compost thousands of lavender flowers each year. There are several special things about this flower. Of course, like most of my flowers, it is large with a looping ruffled gold edge that goes almost to the midrib. It also has a heavy, waxy substance that makes the flower always look fresh. But, my favorite thing about this flower probably does not show well in the image. The watermark is a fascinating gold color with a tangerine overlay which matches and compliments the wide gold edge.
